Swimming lessons

Carter just finished swimming lessons for the spring. He was so excited to go to swimming lessons because his cousin, Addie, and buddy, Eli, were going to be in class with him.

Thumbs up! Carter and Eli were constantly looking up to us in the bleachers and giving us thumbs up after they completed each task.

Carter was a little apprehensive about putting his whole face in the water. He usually got up to his nose, then bailed. The last two days of swimming lessons he finally did a bob and went all the way under!

Working on his backfloat and kicks....

Getting ready to jump off the edge of the pool. This was the first day, after this they went off the diving board instead. I think the diving board was carter's favorite part! Unfortunately, I guess I haven't taken those pictures off my camera yet.

Chase was a little upset that he didn't get to go in the pool too. But after his initial diappointment, he had fun watching Carter. Maybe next year he'll get to go in too. He wanted me to take his picture with, "two thumbs up", while we were waiting for Carter to get dressed. So here is a little of Chase's personality coming through...

Snow, snow go away...

Last snow fall of the year (i hope)...we seem to have missed the snow that Sioux Falls got yesterday! Yea! But it is still a little chilly for May!
Here are a few pictures of the last snow we had...

We took spray bottles and filled them with water and dye and "painted" the snow. The boys had a blast!

It was quite sunny, so of course we had to wear our shades! :-)

Here is our sad looking snowman. Chase kept knocking him down or taking off his rock smile or stick arms. So this is the best we could get!

Here they're "fishing" with their branches. We are ready for summer and fishing on the lake under the sun!

Here Carter is using his stick as an antler. Not really sure what animal he is, I think he said he was a deer.
Enough of this snow! Lets get some sun! Although I will admit being pregnant in this temperature isn't so bad. I might not want to be outside much in mid-July (with as big as I will be) if it is super hot!
